You know, I think the results speak for themselves. I won't bore you recapping the details.

The only thing of note is that it is unfortunate that Magic and Musky called off their bet....We originally bet that if we met heads up in a tournament at the end, the loser would have to wear a pink tshirt that said "I am Magic Man's Poker beyotch" or the other way around.

The only thing mildly surprising was the LuckyPP was surprised and upset when Sausage King made a bad call and sucked out on him. Doesn't he read the subtitle of this blog?

Wow, I must be the luckiest guy in the world. For almost 3 years we have been playing in the MPT & I have many top 3 finishes & at least 8 wins. And all you guys can say is that I get lucky with bad calls & suck outs.

Luck is definitely part of the game, but maybe there is something more to it.

I'll give you credit SK. You put yourself in positions to take risks by being aggressive.

But, c'mon, you're not seriously saying betting into a situation where you are behind with 4 outs was a good decision are you?

Betting into a situation, he did not bet into situation he called. Had he made the bet it is better decision because there is the fold equity in the hand. He called off all his chips as about 4 to 1 underdog. He then did the same thing later when he was drawing dead to an inside str8. That adds up to at least 2 bad decisions where he got lucky on this night. I dont know about many of the other nights.

Oh yeah, I want to add that I am not upset at the call, I want bad calls. I was upset that the card hit. I would much rather be in his shoes though since he made the money. Making good decisions got me a big fat pile of nothing. And actually made me lose game two as well, since I figured best way to win is by making a bad call, which I did. But, I was unable to suckout on turn or river. Oh well, better luck next time for me.

Still not sure how it can be a bad call if you win the hand. The math works great when you're playing blackjack, but hold 'em is all about playing against your opponent & gambling. The math doesn't help you with either of those things.

Out of curiousity, SK. Are you saying if you had that call to make knowing you have 4 outs to an inside straight to win a hand for the majority of your chips that you would do it again?
